Description Infos

Our day trips outside Marrakech unable you to discover the everyday life of local people. Most of the Moroccan living in the villages in the Atlas Mountains are from Berber descent. They are the original settlers in Morocco and their way of living still carry lots of tradition. You can discover the farmers markets with lots of organic vegetables and fruits for sale, as well as live animals but also all sort of services including open air hairdresser or dentist ! This is a weekly market and we stop in the nearby village holding it.
On the the way if you choose you can experience a camel ride in the countryside. This is an optional extra for a 20 minutes ride and a mint tea is offered under a Berber tent after the ride.
The other stop is the Women argan oil cooperative . The argan nut is unique to Morocco and Moroccan have long knew about the wonderful benefit of the oil extracted from this nut for eveyday use either in cooking or cosmetic.
You will drive trough villages and will be able to stop whenever you want . We also encourage our clients to bring with them small spare clothe items : gloves, hats, socks... or shoes, as well as school furniture that you can distribute yourself to the children once you travel with us. Of course you will sample mint tea and most of all what is really appreciated is having lunch in a Berber house in a village overlooking the Atlas Mountains and Mount Toubkal the snowcapped peak culminating at 4167 metres ( 13,671 ft ) making it the highest summit in Northern Africa. Lunches has usually been voted the best lunch of their entire stay by our clients. We do also cater for vegetarians. Last but not least you can spend a day learning on how to cook a Berber tagine, or couscous and various salads.
